How to troubleshoot simple faults such as the battery motor of an electric motorcycle?
Battery problem
When inspecting an electric motorcycle, be sure to confirm whether the power supply is normal. Common problems include broken battery wires, loose battery wires, oxidation and virtual connection; bad batteries, too low voltage, insufficient power; power switches, such as air switch tripping, electric door lock failure, and fuse problems.
Solution: If the power failure is caused by the battery circuit, tighten the loose parts of the battery, and if the wire is broken, weld it. If the battery is damaged, you can only choose to replace it. In addition, if the power failure is caused by problems such as electric door lock failure and fuse, just choose to replace it.
Motor problem
The main cause of motor failure is motor Hall or motor bearing failure. Motor Hall failure usually manifests as the electric motorcycle not moving, weak start, shaking, loud noise, and only moving after being pushed by the foot. Motor bearing failure usually manifests as the motor buzzing and loud noise, and in serious cases, the motor is stuck.
Solution: If the motor Hall or motor bearing failure causes the motor failure, you can choose to directly replace it with a new one.
Controller problem
The most typical case is that there is resistance when pushing the motor, and the resistance disappears when the controller is disconnected, which basically means that the controller is broken. In addition, the electric motorcycle may also show slow speed, shaking when starting, powerlessness, and sometimes no response when driving.
Solution: Due to the importance of the controller, it is generally not recommended to repair it, because the repaired controller will not last long, so it is recommended to replace it directly.
Braking switch problem
The main manifestations are that the brake power-off switch is broken, the brake does not return to the vehicle and does not move, and the brake power-off circuit is broken.
Solution: If the power-off fault is caused by a broken brake power-off switch, it can be solved by grinding the contacts and adjusting the springs. If it doesn't work, please replace it. If the power-off fault is caused by the brake not returning to the vehicle and does not move, you can replace the brake pads or the brake assembly. If the power-off fault is caused by a broken brake power-off circuit, you can choose to replace it with a new one.
